Unleash your inner baker and unveil the secrets from the chef-owner of the world-famous LA pop-up Bridgetown Roti, Rashida Holmes, to craft the perfect Caribbean roti! Experience the vast and vibrant flavors of the Caribbean right in the heart of the Arts District, DTLA.

Our tickets are pay what you want, but please give generously as all proceeds are founding donations towards our new non-profit. Everything you give goes into our current and future projects that celebrate the flavors of African and Black cuisine.

Expand the Menu is a fundraiser event series run by the non-profit Jikoni Recipe Archive, with a mission of treasuring and amplifying the new school recipes of African and Black cuisine.

ABOUT THE CHEF

Taste, value, and efficiency are Rashida Holmes' culinary mantras. This James Beard-nominated chef honed her skills in Italian, pan-Asian, and French kitchens before landing in LA. In 2019, she launched Bridgetown Roti, a pop-up restaurant as an ode to her Afro-Caribbean roots, and quickly conquered the city with its vibrant flavors and media accolades.

Join Rashida in learning the secrets of her roti perfection, explore the diverse landscape of Caribbean cuisine, and experience the culinary force behind Bridgetown Roti, named Eater's Best New Restaurant in LA.
